Last couple of days in Saint-Brieuc

 Saturday, July 6th, 1:00am

Bonjour !

These last couple of days in Saint-Brieuc were very busy and full of festivities!

On Thursday morning we had our last few classes. In my linguistics class, students presented their projects. We had one presentation, many posters, and a couple of students chose to write an essay. Here are some pictures of their work!

Then, we headed to the town hall in the evening. Students were dressed to the nines to meet the deputy mayor. They thanked her and the host families for their warm welcome in Saint-Brieuc and got to visit the mayor's office and. Students then sang both La Marseillaise and the Star-Spangled Banner (I had to split the videos, as they were too large for the blog...!)

Today, students started with their presentations in the literature class and their grammar exams. Then they continued with a very studious morning as they took the end-of-program exams. We had our last lunch at the lycée, and then rehearsed for the farewell show.

In the evening, we had our farewell show! Here are a few videos of it.

After the show, we had a reception for the families, and the evening turned to a dance party with some French classics and new hits!

The evening ended at around 10:30pm, although some families had already headed back home, and students are now spending their last night in Saint-Brieuc! It will be a short one, as we are meeting at 6:45am tomorrow to take the bus... We'll then be headed to Paris for the last few days of our program!

PS:  I was only able to upload shorter clips tonight, but I will be posting all the pictures and videos (in full and in the best possible quality) onto a platform after the program. I'll communicate how to access it in my last post on this blog!
