End of Week 3
Sunday, June 30th, 1pm Bonjour ! We are getting close to the end of the program, as we are finishing week 3. Spirits are still high, but students are now realizing that they only have less than a week left in Saint-Brieuc, and still a lot to do! On Thursday, we had classes in the morning, and then we took the bus to go to la Plage du Valais. We had lunch near the beach, and then walked up to la Tour de Cesson, where we met our guide for the afternoon. The tower is in the middle of a site that has recently been purchased by the city. It had been abandoned for years, but the city of Saint-Brieuc is making efforts to rehabilitate it, as it contains historical buildings and artefacts, such as the tower and WW2 bunkers. Students were given helmets to wear for the visit of the bunkers, as most of them have quite low ceilings. Some students thought of it as a great fashion statement piece!
